As the city of Agra grew, the water system operator needed to meet increased demand. NJS Engineers was contracted to expand the water system with new gravity-based conduits, a new transmission network, and rehabilitation of existing elements. To succeed, the project needed to also reduce the significant amount of water loss in the existing network by locating and addressing weaknesses.

After considering their options, NJS Engineers selected Bentley applications for the project. They began by creating models of both the existing network and new elements. Then, they conducted analyses to determine how to optimize the new network and how to control water loss on the existing network. Their completed work includes an asset database that can manage the entire system. NJS Engineers finished the project below the projected cost and with 360 fewer resource hours needed.
