Shanghai-Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Anhui Expressway will reduce the driving distance between Huzhou and Shanghai by 30 kilometers, shortening travel time to one hour. The large-scale project spans 260 kilometers, featuring a 15-kilometer bridge, 11-kilometer tunnel, 22 total interchanges, and two service areas. To validate accuracy of the conceptual design, Shanghai Kanrong Information Technology needed comprehensive reality modeling technology.

They used aerial drones and laser scanners to survey the project area and selected ContextCapture to process the oblique photography and point clouds into a 3D reality mesh. Using Bentley’s application accelerated data processing time and improved survey efficiency and accuracy to ensure precise conceptual designs.
