Spain-based TYPSA Group is an engineering consulting firm that has worked on world-recognized infrastructure projects, including the Stockholm Metro and the United Kingdom’s HS2 railway line. To provide better services to their clients, they wanted to expand their use of BIM methodologies and establish their BIM maturity to achieve ISO 19650 certification. Previous file-sharing platforms proved insufficient, so they sought a collaborative digital solution to manage their BIM workflows at this certification level across their complex global projects.

ProjectWise to establish a connected data environment for the Stockholm Metro and HS2 projects, streamlining workflows and automating the previously manual process to ensure data consistency and digital efficiencies. The result was a savings of GBP 1 million on the HS2 project. Based on their successful implementation, they became the first Spanish engineering firm to achieve ISO 19650 certification, acknowledging their BIM commitment and compliance with new international BIM standards.
