In southwest China, ChinaSoft Century Technology helped construct the largest indirect coal liquefaction project in the world, producing 4 million tons of oil annually. They were responsible for the overall design, including utilities, auxiliary facilities, and off-site works. A major milestone for China’s industry, the project was complex and involved sharing many documents across multiple offices. To guarantee the success of this project, they needed a document management system that could issue documents in a timely, accurate manner.

After considering their options, ChinaSoft Century Technology chose ProjectWise as the basis for their project documentation management system. The application allowed them to standardize document and directory storage structure, controlling document access and versions while delivering design results. With the project lasting seven years, the team used ProjectWise to dramatically improve their efficiency and quality of deliverables, cut costs, and shorten the project duration. The project was completed and operational at the end of 2019.
