As part of their global digital and business strategy supporting energy transition and sustainable infrastructure, Wood initiated development of a collaborative community portal to create a unified space for sharing experiences related to technology and industry changes. They tried creating static intranet sites; however, these proved expensive and difficult to maintain as current, interactive platforms. To accommodate recurring organizational changes and ensure access to accurate, real-time information, they needed dynamic, integrated digital applications.
Partnering with Bentley, they configured a global, collaborative platform across Wood users and industry stakeholders, bridging the gap between technology capability and industry performance. Using Bentley applications accelerated the time to mobilize and connect people and solutions. With more than 900 users identified as increasing productivity, the portal has already reduced Wood’s costs while increasing the value they offer to clients. They expect that the platform will return 10 times their investment within 12 months due to opportunities and initiatives gained through connections established across their global enterprise.
