A rapidly developing industrial territory in Lithuania, Klaipèda Free Economic Zone (FEZ) covers 4.12 square kilometers and has many plots that are still being designed and prepared for new investment. To provide information about enterprises already located in the FEZ, present spatial solutions for future client development, and depict newly developed office space to potential tenants, a 3D reality modeling project was initiated. The project presented data integration challenges merging approximately 125 gigabytes of captured data from multiple sources.
The modeling team selected ContextCapture to process 15,628 drone-captured photos and generate a reality model of the entire territory in 19 days. With Bentley’s open modeling applications, they published the accurate, interactive, 3D topographic model online for management, operations, and investment purposes. The digital twin integrates GIS, BIM, and virtual reality data, providing a clear visual to gain in-depth knowledge of the environment and potential opportunities, accessible to any investor anywhere in the world.
